BASEBALL TRYOUT DATES, TIMES, AND LOCATION

Each team’s schedule may vary slightly based on the developmental priorities set by that team’s head coach. As an organization, we place a strong emphasis on providing the right amount of baseball and softball for each age group—balancing skill development with opportunities to enjoy other sports and family time.

We encourage multi-sport participation during the fall and winter months, while continuing to offer meaningful baseball opportunities. In the spring, we’ve adopted a 2–3 tournament per month approach to allow families time off on weekends and help reduce player burnout.

Current Organizational Outline
(Note: Team-specific plans may vary slightly)

FALL:

• Team practices 1x per week from late August through the end of October 
• All teams participate in one Halloween tournament; some teams may add more 
• Four weeks of professional team hitting lessons (1 hour/week)
   

WINTER:

• Indoor training 1x per week from January through mid-March
   

SPRING:

• Team practices 2x per week beginning mid-March
   
• 2–3 tournaments per month, along with scrimmages

• 8U: 7 tournaments
   
• 9U: 9 tournaments
   
• 10U: 9 tournaments
   
• 11U: 10 tournaments
   
• 12U: 10 tournaments
   
• 13U: 10 tournaments

ALL HYPE PLAYERS WILL HAVE 24/7/365 access to our indoor training facility outside of team training times.

At Hype, our core focus is on developing well-rounded athletes by emphasizing three key areas: player development, athlete experience, and character growth.

1. Player Development:
   Our year-round programming is designed to foster player growth through structured team practices, individual training, and targeted skill development. While individual improvement remains a key focus, we gradually shift our emphasis toward team goals as tournament play begins. 

1. Athlete Experience:
   We believe a coach’s influence plays a pivotal role in shaping a young athlete’s relationship with sports. Our coaches are committed to fostering a positive environment where players feel supported and challenged. While no coach is perfect, our coaches strive to ensure that the athlete experience is held in equal importance to player development—emphasizing encouragement, accountability, and respect.
    
2. Character Development:
   Baseball and softball provide powerful opportunities for young athletes to grow beyond the game. We actively seek to instill strong character traits through sport and also engage players in off-field experiences—such as community service or team-building activities—that help reinforce life lessons and values.
    

While private lessons are not required, they can be a valuable tool for individual development. We currently have two independent instructors offering lessons at our indoor facility. As an added benefit, all Hype baseball players will receive six coupons for discounted lessons with these instructors. 

We follow the recommended pitch smart guidelines as an organization. At the beginning of the season, coaches will work with parents to determine each individual pitchers pitching limitations. 

Team Fee Information

Team fees will vary slightly based on each head coach’s selected training plan and number of tournaments. Estimated ranges are as follows:

• 8U: $1,150 – $1,250
   
• 9U: $1,250 – $1,395
   
• 10U: $1,350 – $1,495
   
• 11U: $1,450 – $1,595
   
• 12U: $1,450 – $1,595
   
• 13U: $1,650 – $1,795
   

Please note: Team fees are all-inclusive, with the exception of uniforms.

Payment Structure:

• 50% of the team fee is due upon accepting a roster spot.
   
• The remaining 50% is due in February.
   
• The organization will offer two fundraising opportunities (Sponsorship Drive & Fun Run) to help families reduce or eliminate their balance.
